There is a pretty significant difference between pre-season and regular season. Also, young guys tend to hit a wall, after early success. Absolutely nothing wrong with letting him continue to learn in the A. Let's just be happy with how good he looks at 19.
And as I type that, he goes in for the highlight reel shortie, LOL

Honzek is absolutely making this team. They have him killing penalties which shows a lot of trust, and then he goes and makes a play like that.
I think they have to make room. I'm changing my opinion. Waive both Rooney and Hunt if you have to.

Goalies seem to have trouble with Klapka's shot - must be very heavy

Honzek just embarrassed NHLers Dunn and Daccord.
Really impressive pre-season from him.

For everyone saying Honzek makes the team, would you not want him playing 20ish minutes a night in all situations in the A?
Also I would think there's only room for one of Honzek or Klapka to be regular starters.
Not saying he hasn't deserved it.

Please waive Hunt. If Flames Legend Kevin Rooney is at same form as last season, keep him up, otherwise, he'll clear waivers easily

Coronato looks dangerous tonight too. Lots of good plays and hustle in the offensive zone.

Yup.
And I would remind everyone that Coronato was the best forward in pre-season last year, then struggled to handle the regular season pace. And spending most of the year with the Wrnaglers helped him immensely.

That was a sick goal. Honzek has not played a lot of hockey. He needs minutes and to develop.
It’s best he goes and dominates the AHL.

Someone please post a tweet of the goal replay.
My stream doesn't allow for rewind sadly.

That's a good point - significant injuries in each of the last 2 years. He needs to play, and paly a lot.
