Yeah, why on earth would you say something like that before you played them? Never mind at all...

There is a huge honeymoon period going on with Montreal and Laine right now, Habs fans quickly embraced him and the injury then hot return made him a fav quick.. but Patrick Laine has a tendency to disappear physically, forget how to handle pucks and become lazy quick.

Yea... Laine should've kept his mouth shut, enjoyed his current momentum and went along for the ride.

Instead he opens it, gets embarrassed/injured in the first period, and has to hide away the rest of the game.

Didn't Laine have some sort of mental breakdown with the BJs? He and his TikTok wife are some sort of advocates for mental health? Strange that he would flex on the team that sheltered him.

Haven't there always been questions about his character? How long before he realizes that when you have issues everywhere you go, the problem might be you?

Players should keep yapping. Beak away. The game lacks character and this is what builds it. Embrace the hate. Use it as strength. Love it.

I guess the bonds with Laine and the Jackets weren’t all that tight to begin with. To me it’s no big deal to say something like that. He didn’t call a particular person out. Perhaps he wasn’t all that well supported in private. All good.

He didn’t say anything that wasn’t true, imo.

Jarmo Kekäläinen was an awful GM.

Canadiens are good at picking up craps and turned benefits

But overall they are still crappy

They are going to be closer to winning much sooner than us.
Their GM is regularly fleecing others. They have one of, if not the top prospect base and will add to it this year with our pick. They have two elite players in Hutson and Demidov (I would also consider Caulfield and Suzuki as stars)

They are in the toughest division in the league, so it may not be evident yet, but I bet they are in the playoffs in 2027 - and consistently from then onwards.
