Lot's of cap for next year at this point. I think he is a top 4 dman next year. Does Rasmus money get it done? Is that over payment? Thoughts?
|
Rasmus Andersson money seems a little high with regard to how much time he has missed, but I like the idea of a 6-year contract.

Kuzmenko looking more and more like the salary dump suggested at the trade.

Kadri lit the Flame with that goal and after that it was off to the races.
"Hey Letang...wanna fish that puck out of the net for me? We've got more goals to score." - Kadri...probably.
Letang was awful tonight and judging by the stick-smash he knows it too.
So long and thanks for all the points!
That last 10 minutes the Flames hit the afterburners and the Pens looked done.
Fun game, beautiful tribute, I havent watched the after-hours yet.

I don't think Markstrom will be traded anytime soon. Team is on a roll.

I'm fine with it either way.
If the price is right, pull the trigger, if it isnt? Then don't.
He's under contract. You can trade him next year. Yeah, sucks that Wolf has to stay in the AHL longer, but he's technically still an unknown quantity.
We're in no rush to trade him. We've got cap space, we can afford to keep him and he's a good player...at the moment.
But if someone stumps up Conroy's asking price?
"So long and thanks for all the wins!"

On a roll to where exactly? Still a really big gap to 8th.

It’s 5 points to a team we play twice. Who are only there because of OT losses. Where is the “really big gap”?

We are there because our winning percentage is .542
Sorry, if you think a 5 point gap to a team with a game-in-hand is close then I guess we are close.

It literally is close, so I’m not sure exactly what you expect close to look like.

Our points percentage is .542. LA is higher cause of loser points. Our winning percentage is .500, LA is .508
5 point difference is much more "close" than it is "a really big gap"

Amazing night at the dome. One I won’t forget.
The entire ceremony was well done. The crowd reception to Iggy gave me chills. It’s so great that he’s back in the organization. He and Connie at the helm just feels right.

What are the odds of that happening... Kipper night #34 and the final score Pitts 3-4 Flames...34

I loved the ceremony and the interviews, I kinda wish they'd interviewed Kipper's youngest Son.
I mean...could you imagine? First of all the story Kipper told about 1) not telling his parents about him being born and 2) He's Canadian and was in a different line at the airport.
Those tell me that the kid probably has a sense of humour.
But it must be wild to have been born in Calgary right as Kipper retires and leaves and not to really know or have experienced how this City feels about his dad.
This must have been an insane experience for this kid.
"We're going to Calgary for a celebration for Miikka. You were born there!"
- "Uh. Okay. Sounds fun."
"By the way...in this City in a far-off land...your father was a King and Hero and they're going to Worship him."
- "I see..."
