Anderson is so overatred - NOT a #1 defenseman - always double clutches and tries to make cute plays.

Not comparable at all to the Lindholm play. Lindy made contact by himself and pushed the goalies pad. Andersson puts that guy into Markstrom.
First of all, who cares if they're short handed to start the period?

Secondly, the guy buried himself into Markstrom, then wrapped his arm around him, and stayed there for at least a 3 count. The rule is that you can't impede the goalie from trying to make a save. He definitely impeded him, long after being pushed towards him.

The trade deadline is 2 months away. They know they're not making the playoffs. Trades will be made. Maybe not this week, but soon.

We can argue if he's a 1, but what's undeniable is that he's not a top tier #1. Flames don't have one.

That's the only reason I can think for not challenging it. Literally nobody knows what goalie interference is, which is exactly how the league likes it.

Doesn't have to say he's terrible. His opening line was "He's not the Dube that we are used to or he is used to being right now"
Leave it at that, or say" we expect he'll bounce back".
Fine.
But then to add that it's somehow him as coaches fault?

I really like Andersson but IMO he's been pretty average this year.

Poor decisions, a bit of lazy play has crept into his game, and don't think Weegar and him work well together at all.

His 47.4% xGF is worst among all Flames regular dmen. Both Weegar and Hanifin have been much better away from him than with him this year.

A tough bounce there… they’ll come back, but some puck luck wouldn’t hurt as well.

Nope, not going down that rabbit hole tonight.

Except we do - they are calling off pretty much everything when a goalie gets touched.

This guy buried his face into Markstrom, wrapped his arm around him, and stayed there. That's getting called off every time.

Kuznetsov did not look out of place in that period. The deflection off of him was a bad break.

The kid walking behind Sarich was wearing a Bassen jersey. You don't see those often especially anyone under 40.

Edit: I didn't realize Bassen was from Calgary. Maybe a relative.

Yeah, the trades are probably the most exciting/anticipating to look forward to. Some of the hockey playing right now is as boring as hell

There is a lot not going right that is Huska's fault, he is a terrible coach, the worst we have had since Gilbert. There, I am fine with my Huska rant for the night.

Not sure why you have a problem with it. Coaches give their players #### in private, and protect them in public. SOP. Taking some blame is just good form. Everyone knows Dube has been struggling - he doesn't need to crucify him in the media.

Probably because other lines started to click so he was left on the 4th line. I guess he could have worded it different but I don't see the issue here. He's trying to take the heat off the player. The players like Huska, maybe he knows tough love doesn't work with Dube and he wants him to get going.

Imagine how bad this team will be after trading the 3 UFA's, they probably wouldn't be able to beat the hawks lol.

I would say Geoff Ward was much worse

Huska doesn’t make crazy stupid in game moves, he is just helpless….
