The Calgary Stampeders have hired Beau Baldwin as their new quarterbacks coach after Ryan Williams, who was hired in January, left the team to take a job at Georgia State.

“I’m excited to bring on Beau,” said general manager and head coach Dave Dickenson in a statement. “He’s had great success working with and developing quarterbacks who have had a lot of success in the CFL and I’m glad he has decided to bring his coaching talents north of the border.”

Baldwin spent 13 seasons at Eastern Washington University, including four as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach and nine as head coach. He helped the Eagles go 85-32, capture five Big Sky Conference championships, and win one FCS national title. Among the quarterbacks he worked with were Bo Levi Mitchell, Vernon Adams Jr., and Matt Nichols, all of whom went on to achieve success in the CFL.

Jim Hopson has passed away at the age of 73 after a three-year battle with colon cancer.

The Regina native was hired as the first-ever full-time president and CEO of the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2004, a role he held for a decade. The club enjoyed the most prosperous era its history under Hopson, posting record profits and winning two Grey Cups.

What’s the penalty for the three(?) teams that exceeded the cap?

As they were all under $100,000 over the cap, they get a dollar for dollar fine for the amount they were over.
If they are over $100,000 over the cap, then teams draft picks are affected.

Imagine ending your career (not to mention your likely Hall of Fame chances) over a 70 euro bet.

It's pretty harmless but at the same time not professional intertwining gambling on your occupation.

Moore and Schroeter were last year's picks.

This year they took RON TIAVAASUE FB and JULIUS WELSCHOF DL in the 2024 Global Draft.

This is the frustrating part of sports where everyone wants to know, the team knows everyone wants to know, and well, we don’t know!

With Rourke being released by the Patriots, do the Stamps consider bringing him aboard, or are they set on giving Maier another shot?
