Ugly shift for Sharongovich. Gotta get that puck out.

This team looks lost in their own zone. Lots of work to do there.

Yeah..this looks a lot like last season. A ton of Flames work with no goal, other team scores.

First period - Flames had a couple of early PP's they didn't do too much in them. There was a good chance for Backlund and Sharangovich in front of the net in scramble and that's about it. The D had a couple of miscues, resulting to turnovers. Hanifin fell, Tanev gave the puck away without support, so did Oesterle. WPG looked like the more dangerous team for most of the period until the Lindholm goal.
Second period - The flames were dictating play, and generating chances, the D looked better. Now the Jets scored.
Here are the goals in the 1st:

One goal for every five shots. Sounds about right. Yes, my username checks out.

Fire drill. I thought we were shoring this up under Huska? Guess it's going to take some time and a few ### kickings

I've liked Zary a lot more than Hunt or Shwindt or Ruzicka for that matter this pre season. There's no way he doesn't deserve a spot over any of those 3.

Wait - entirely changing the defensive zone coverage might take some time??? WHAT? I am outraged!

Going to a different system, there will be some speed bumps. As long as they keep improving over the next few days it will be ok. I think once everyone is comfortable with it they should be good to go.

Yes, it's pre-season.
Yes, results don't matter.
Yes, Markstrom has looked bad.
All of these are valid statements.
Back to the Seahawks game...

I don't much like Mang on the Lindholm line.
I have one small critique about Coronato, it's more asthetic than anything although it's tied to skating efficiency is that he needs to stop paddling the air with his stick while skating.

Yeah, and we’ll be using that as our excuse to start the season and then no one will be to blame when we miss the playoffs by 2 points because of our poor start, but don’t worry - our players will put it together in 2024/2025!
This is the song that never ends.
(Yes I know none of this matters, but it’s okay to desire better from this team/organization)

I think we’ll start Sharangovich on that line, but in time it will go to Coronato.
