Wranglers have taken a commanding 1–2 series lead.

8,198 in attendance. Not bad for California city, minor pro hockey league.

Not entirely sure how a team sweeps the 3 Stars when the game goes to triple OT and you’re outshot 62-51. I would have probably chosen the GWG scorer and the two goalies…

Frick. Wranglers had so many great chances to end it.

Bittersweet ending. Wranglers losing is bad, Evans scoring is good for me.

With Seattle now out, CV will probably get some help. Need to dig deep.

This is why you don't defer home ice advantage to the lower seed. If they were at home needing to win two in a row I'd feel better, doing it on the road...

Meh. This season the Wranglers were 3-1 against Coachella in the their barn and 1-3 vs them in the dome.

This is a mickey mouse league. A 5 game divisional final?

Like eff that. it should be 7 games with a 2-3-2 split.

Just a reminder that this is by definition the minor leagues. First clue is you’re playing a team based in Palm Springs.

While the format is absurd, probably best not to take the playoffs too seriously. Teams can stack their minor league roster as they see fit.

Rhett said one time the difference between Canadian fans and Americans is that we are observers of hockey, while Americans are fans of their teams.

And he's right. We watch and get disgusted with poor play and barely get a rise when our team scores. The dome is a library.

The Coachella fans are probably extra motivated to cheer their team and beat a Canadian team at their own sport.

The fans in California look like they are having a blast. All engaged and boisterous. It’s great to see.

Agreed on the dome, there is a reason why the NHL video games in the 90s used to refer to the dome as the library.

Wranglers need a coronato type player badly. Too bad he wasn't eligible this spring.

Disappointing back half to the game though. They let off after getting the lead.

Officiating was also terrible and helped Coachella get it to OT. A lot of missed calls the other way.

Almost looked NHLesque

Sure but why make it a 5 game series? isn't it better they get more revenue? They should make it a 9 game series.
