I can't say I disagree. But thinking he will waive to go to a non-playoff team isn't being realistic.

He needs to a have a good reason to want to waive. And I don't think he believes the team is a lost cause like overdramatic fans on here do.

At least Colorado, Boston and Toronto stomping them consecutively should help make up their minds for them on how to proceed

It sucks to know that even if they're a goalie away from a playoff berth, they'd still be a tier below Colorado et al

Looch is a tough SOB. Glad we got to see one more heavy weight tilt from him. Hopefully we get to see him take on Reaves this season with the big games coming up.

Weegar is also a mean SOB.

I had a friend show up after the two goals against and one post on two shots to start the period. Glad I could get away. This isn't a team built to be down immediately.

I'd still like to see this team with even average goaltending before its blown up. If we ride it out with what we have it's going to be a long end to the season. It completely deflates me as a fan when that happens and I can't imagine being a player who has seen it happen to them as much as it has.

I think I'm strictly a Pelletier fan this season

I’m new to hockey.

Is a .818 save percentage good?

“Playing the Stanley Champions…it’s Nathan Mackinnon”

I just so badly want the Flames to have a Nathan Mackinnon. So sick and tired of this team just trying to eek their way through life with a sub-standard talent base. Just commit to the path you need to take to get that player. Put in the “work”. We’re here for it. We’ve done everything else…just do it. Just friggin’ rebuild through the top of the draft, please.

If we don’t do it…what’s next? Our pets heads are gonna start falling off? I can’t deal with that.

Ramo was just finding his best game when he got injured. Such a shame.

Game was over before it really got started with the two Markstrom whiffs. Tonight more so than other nights the defense was at least equally responsible for some disasters though. Zadorov especially reminded everyone why he doesn’t have a 8 year 50 million deal somewhere.

Huberdeau and Kadri complete non-factors. Awful from them.

PP was overall awful but did score. PK was overall good but let in a goal, even if it was kind of a bounce.

Really liked that Lucic retook the heavyweight champion belt. MacDermid is the one other guy in the league that can scrap and expect to survive Lucic, and nearly took him down today. If he actually gets traded at the deadline I would be happy that he got to have this game to remember him by, he was solid.

Like Backlund’s energy.

Didn’t like both Coleman and Mangiapane missing wide open nets. At least they got some chances.

Also, the one thing I notice with Pelletier that he needs to work on is that he does not yet have the ability to make passes through other players’ skates and sticks. Not sure if the Flames have some skills coaches to help with that (they probably don’t) but that would something to work on. He’s got the vision to see guys but can’t get the pucks through to them.

I don't want to be/sound petulant but for a 43 year old team, the Flames have honestly been short changed by this league to not have enjoyed a single top 3 overall pick in that time

Pretty ####ing tough sledding to compete when you've never gotten thar elite talent dropped in your lap

Not quite a Mackinnon but we had a Tkatchuk. And a Gaudreau. There were opportunities to sign them earlier.

Nope that's not worse. Thats just reality.

Number 11 should be retired at some point. Life long Flame . Doubt he even wants to go to another team even if he wants a cup . He's been in Calgary since 2009 hard to uproot your whole adult life for a few years at his age. Guys going down with ship . He bleeds red.
