No - I fear that by the last year of his contract, he’ll be competing with Kadri and Huberdeau.

Markstrom is sinking a team that is giving up nothing.

Last year I called Markstrom the best goalie the Flames have had since Kiprusoff. Can't believe the difference a year has made.

Sutter keep starting him, clearly he knows something we don't.

Defense was epically bad and directly lead to grade A chances and goals. Mistakes like that are continuing to happen over and over.at least we will win the next game.

Yeah that whole 1 shot against 5vs5 in the last 25 Damn minutes was epically bad man.

A thousand times this. He is way more suited to play with Lindholm.

Sutter is due to mix the line up in another 10 games or so...I guess we might see then.

Though it still is kinda true. But moreso because it's been a parade of bad goalies.
Who is the best goalie since Kipper?

At times Smith, Elliott, BSD, Markstrom, Ramo and Hillier all had stretches of good play but no one sustained it.

But seriously who would we consider the best post-Kipper goalie? It's not Mike Smith. I effin hate that guy.

I thought that was Markstrom? Wasn't that determined earlier in this thread?

That wasn't even a real threat he literally watched the puck go in slow motion across the crease and had zero awareness a guy is standing next to him.

We might not be amazing but shoot if this bum makes a few saves this season we are probably fighting for the division.

He's paid to stop the puck and he hasn't done a good job since may of 2022.

Markstrom had the best season.

Talbot was the best signing maybe, and didn't stay long enough to eventually piss us off.

Don't worry everyone. They've totally still got this on strength of schedule.

I would say Ramo may have been close before shredding his knee.

This is bad goaltending though.

More poor out of division teams are exactly what this group needs to get fired up

Oh man I always forget about him for some reason (including in the recent "name the flames goalies" quiz thing.

Yeah I was leaning to Ramo as well. But again it was never sustained because of that injury so its more of a "what could have been".

Lest we forget Reto Berra too.

Second game in a row where they gave up absolutely nothing 5 on 5 in third period. And yet the results aren't there at all.

They're not good enough to outscore bad goaltending like tonight. Slightly better goaltending, like against NYR, they can win with.

Ramo had the highest floor

I actually liked that guy.

Talbot was decent too.

Every one else was streaky or just a flash in the pan
