You buy a ticket then boo your heart out. Who cares. It's a game. It's for fun. He and his team are having a laugh over it. It's not a big deal and eff anyone who says it's classless. I would personally stand for the tribute video at least though but that's me. He was awesome but he left us!!!! And if you feel ashamed? Just blame the heroin beer.

Giving him 4x4 and playing him in a top-pairing role is a recipe for disaster. It's the same with guys like Edmundson and Chiarot.
I think we all agree on that.

Except for the fact that the goal horn button presser was running back from the hot dog stand.

You can choose to appreciate the good parts of Johnny's tenure, or you can choose to be sour about the bad parts.

I can laugh and agree with anyone who wants to boo because it's light-hearted and fun.

I feel bad for people who are legit angry and bitter about his decision and refuse to admit that he was a great part of the city/team.

For me, it's the Stajan goal. But I understand your point.

Boy those two are close. Both are unbelievable memories.

Probably the Stajan goal because there was so much more hope for the future of this team at that point, whereas even when Gaudreau scored in OT there was still the uncertainty (that ended up being realized) about the two big FAs.

But both go down among the best moments of the Cap Era to date.

Well, that one did beat Vancouver, so you have a strong argument.

Watching that Gaudreau Game 7 goal replay, I never really looked at what a weird lineup Dallas had out there. Jacob Peterson, Marian Studenic, and Jamie Benn up front? With Suter-Heiskanen as the defense pairing? Peterson and Benn just stood there and did nothing about the rebound. I only really looked at the Flames on that replay before today.

Are you suggesting it was his plan to go there, make them worse, and have a 25% chance at Bedard?

And you are even going to be condescending about it!

Gaudreau went there to win , just ask him

Dude like 99.9% of us understand we’re cheering for kids because they’re wearing a shirt we like. You’re on a forum dedicated to the whole fantasy world that is the NHL.

Nah it was the Hartley vs Tortorella 4th line opening lineup brawl in Vancouver.

Low bar when 5 playoff wins is the high mark for almost 2 decades

Beating Vancouver in the playoffs is better than brawling them.

I wish I could have enjoyed it more. I took an edible to blunt the pain of a possible loss and when Johnny scored I was in a daze.

I just sat there on the couch and said "He scored?"

I would love nothing more than to win this game handily. And see someone lay a smack on Johnny somewhere. Applaud his video tribute. Boo the crap out of him after.

It's good, no doubt, but I think this is much better since it came from a team that shouldn't have won anything against a rival.
