Couldn't watch this one. Had to take the kids to 3 different birthday parties today. JFC, I'm destroyed.
Came home to find a 6-5 win in Dallas. Watched the condensed game on NHL.com and it was definitely one of those weird afternoon games.
Wedgewood was really, really bad for Dallas. Like abysmally bad. Vladar didn't seem great on some of his either. Chalk it up to afternoon oddities, but if that's Oettinger in net, we lose 5-3.
Take the points. That's a very good team we just beat on their home ice in the afternoon. I saw this one on the schedule and thought it was as good as an automatic loss as you can get, but we managed to get the 2 points. That's all that really matters.

Thought Wedgewood was pretty poor. Flames dominated most of the first two periods but never deserved to be up 6-1.
Total team collapse in the third not a good sign. I still think this team should be doing what it can do to get a shot at Bedard because the playoffs are going to be a waste of time. But the Flames making the playoffs goes a long way to keeping the grease out. As long as Bedard goes East I guess.
Boooo!!! What an awful opinion. Playoffs are NEVER a waste of time.

Totally missed the game today but glad to see Mangiapanne on the board again and the big names all putting up points. The things they've desperately needed are starting to happen with more regularity. Trending the right way. Maybe they have a huge second-half run in them again?

Even if none of the goals were bad the out cry would have been that you "need your goalie to make a save" which isn't wrong.
But as Bingo's re-cap points out, the stats show it wasn't a great game by either goalie.
Will be interesting to see if Sutter is adopting a win and stay in approach or not. I suspect we will see Markstrom back.

Well, even if Vladar gets the majority for the time being he’s bound to play Markstrom sometimes. I expected at least once on the next 4 and then there’s a BTB.
