It's unfortunate. I am sure the team would get tons more energy if a couple of kids were on the team instead of Lewis and Lucic.

2 minutes a period is the absolute max they should get!

I'd sure like to see stone getting PP1 time. His shot is a huge difference maker and for whatever reason, rasnus can't shoot the puck effectively from the point.

They just shouldn’t be playing. They aren’t NHL level players and each passing game they’re in the lineup, it’s bad for the team and the organization because it’s bad for the reputation of the team.
Remember when Johnny commented that the Flames had a reputation for playing big players over skilled players? This is how those reputations get built.
It is moronic.

Ideally they call someone up with Stone back and then push someone down to the fourth line and Lucic out. Say Dube on the fourth for example with Lewis and Ritchie/Rooney. I just don’t think Lucic does enough anymore.

Yes, especially Anderson never shoot! Opposition knows this and just ignore his shot and just focus on his underwhelming passing.

Lucic shouldn't be in the lineup at all ever again. Rithcie is a questionable NHL player. Lewis has his place if you can replace those two with some better players.

Stone and Weegar are the only RS defensemen who should be anywhere near the PP

Zary, Pelletier, and Phillips should all be on this team.
It is stupid that 3 of Lewis, Lucic, Rooney and Ritchie are playing every night. Rooney and Lucic shouldn’t be on the roster and one of Lewis or Ritchie should be the 13th forward.
When you are icing a line-up that features 3 of those 4 you are not a good team.

I missed it - what did he say?
I mean in addition to Phillips.. there are two former first round picks playing incredibly well. Why not start giving them opportunities instead of letting them slowly fade away like Nemisz, Klimchuk, Poirier, and even Valimaki to an extent.

Huby uses the gap available to him and gets Backlund the puck in stride in the middle of the ice and Backlund fumbles it.
Get him the hell off of that line.

Backlund has always been excellent at every facet of the game, except for feeding and accepting passes. Which is kind of important. Maybe he needs glasses, like Charlie Sheen in Major League.

just trade Phillips elsewhere then
this team is frankly maddening .. a top asset and player and they neither call him up nor recoup value for him
they'll watch him walk then perform for another nhl team
