Its Hakan Loob for me. He is still the only Swede to score 50 goals. Unbelievable stat considering since he accomplished that feat there has been Sundin, Sedin, Alfredsson, Naslund, Forsberg, and Zetterberg.

Anyone say Peter Stastny? He was the second-highest scorer of the 80's behind Gretzky, and he didn't have the talent around him that 99 did.

Don’t think anyone has mentioned him.

But what about Eddie Olczyk?

Guy was a beast. The only legally deaf person to ever play in the NHL deserves some recognition.

Shame that fight basically ended his career - he was never as effective again

Mike Palmateer. Always made incredible saves but didn’t post superb numbers. Once signed the “outrageous” 4 year $800k total contract. 5’9”! And set the assist record for goalies in a season with 8. Also had 12 knee surgeries as a player and 20 overall so far.

Andy Moog and Bill Ranford. It’s hard to believe that greasers haven’t built statues for both of these goalies. I was happy when both left shelbyville.

French connection line in buffalo; Gilbert Perreault, Rene Robert, Richard Martin.

Gary Suter.

His former teammate, Murray Craven, was very similar.

How about Mikael Renberg from those 90s Flyers teams? 38 goals and 82 points his rookie year.
