Great interview with Conny today. You can tell he was hurt losing Johnny and Matthew.
Very interesting that he also stated he had no idea that the Flames were going to offer sheet O’Rielly. He heard an offer sheet had been signed but didn’t know it was the Flames initially.
No, the hotel is definitely closed. I believe its being converted to low income housing. Not sure if the bar is still running, there were currentish looking signs still in the window last time I was through the area but they could've been old.

Conroy is an absolutely fascinating interview, the man just goes. Some great discussion about Darryl Sutter and his move from coach to GM, how that affected the room and some of his puzzling trades as General Manager. Conroy thought the Phaneuf trade wasn't real and thought "okay.. why would you trade Dion"
Should put all that locker room rift talk to bed regarding the trade too.
