That isn’t anything new. He was wrong many times, but I do not recall ever as bad as the recent years game management crap we see now.
Yes I recognize referees have always influenced games but to me in recent years they are more blatant about it.

There were more than a few on the board that wanted a suspension on Zadorov.
The rule changes, for the most part over the years, have been good.
This game will never be ringette...thankfully.

I’d say Z is the only one of the big boys Benn will fight. He has once before(z was in Chicago) and had the upper hand on Zadorov. No chance Benn will step up against Lucic, Gubrandson or even a Ritchie.

Fight Robertson or Pavelski.
Dont engage with dirt.
He fought Kassian and that was stupid. The code? He was in Kassians head and made him look like an idiot till he fought him. Tkachuk was the idiot for fighting him. Sure you manned up but you hurt your team by doing it.
If I hear Tkachuk is hurt after this series it is because he was stupid.

The NHL really messed up with the Nurse headbutt in making the suspension far too short, where Nurse had clear intent and it was not a hockey play because play was already whistled dead.
Any other play like the Zadorov hit, that was during play, was near the puck and there was even a shadow of a doubt that it was intentional would be seen as less severe than Nurse's hit and thus not equivalent to what Nurse got in a 1 game suspension.
Nurse should have gotten at least a 2-4 game suspension and that would have given the NHL more leeway if they wanted to hand out lesser suspensions. (Not that I think Zadorov's hit was suspension-worthy in the first place)
