Yotes beat the Avs twice is the absolute finishing move to people who want to say good teams don't ever lose to bottom feeders.

Also, lets be real...Sharks are the biggest flukes ever to even win 2 of those games let alone 3. Last night is a Flames win 9 of 10 times IMO.

Maybe Markstrom gets the yips when he sees the Sharks logo?

I remember hearing this about Dustin brown too but he is still playing. I mean Dustin browns career path is very similar to what's been happening to Sean Monahan.

Judging from the last couple of games, the one before the coming of Jarnkrok, and after :

Tkachuk and Dube work well together.
Lucic and Monahan do not work well together.
Mangiapane needs some pace to his game to be effective.
Toffoli worked well with Gaudreau.
Dube is way better at centre than wing.
Players are getting tired.

Gaudreau - Lindholm - Toffoli (looked good, and starting to gel)
Tkachuk - Dube - Mangiapane (Dube and Eatbread have chemistry, Tkachuk makes them dangerous)
Coleman - Monahan - Jarnkrok (two hardest workers with the most snakebit)
Lucic - Backlund - Carpenter (this is a great island of misfit toys)

I would expect Jarnkrok and Dube to be flipped in real life, and Backlund and Monahan switching places. If both of these things happen, the first three lines would be good and the fourth a predictable disaster of poor chemistry.

^ I like it except I still miss Tkachuk on the top line just because those guys were becoming psychic with their plays. But overall, yeah. And it’s not a matter of rewarding or punishing at this point. It’s trying to put players in good positions.

On the game - trying not to read too much into it. Take out 2 extremely bad goals and it’s Sutter’s 3-2 win.

If Markstrom doesn't let in 2 soft goals, I think the Flames are in complete control the rest of the way. It's got to be demoralizing when they were playing so well to see those 2 go in.
How someone that's 6'-6" with all that equipment can let a puck get by from that far out is baffling to me.

LaBarbera said maybe the first was tipped or screened. I didn’t see anything like that. Just one of those random things I guess. I think pro hockey players fall into zones where they expect the play to go certain ways and that shot was just not normal. I don’t think Markstrom saw him shoot it it was so unexpected.

The second was maybe even worse. It was a Hail Mary play guys try all the time with almost zero success, and usually Markstrom is good at handling them (Kipper let in a few more of those in his time).

Yeah, Vlasic just dumped the puck in the general direction of the net. It didn't look like an aimed shot at all. Tough to get a read on that in the time available.

After a closer look at the video, I see why so many people are blaming Monahan. He handled the puck like a hot potato. It couldn't have hurt him to keep it on his stick for a second and look for a better option.

Only the second game I've been to this season, first time I've seen the 'new' acquisitions live (Toffoli, Jarnkrok).

I never appreciated on TV how, how should I put this, speed challenged..... Toffoli is. Obviously hasn't hurt his production in his career, just an observation- I love the player. Just not a fast skater.
Even with replay didn't get a good look at the first sharks goal. Markstrom had a bad game, move on. At least the oilers **** the bed as well with the lead last night. Seemed like lots of different line combinations last night, no?
