All I can get

Do the Leafs do a straight-up deal with Matthews? Maybe add a doofus to make salary work?
Toronto may be a pressure market, but's home for McDavid.

Funny how silent oilers media and fans are today. Are they already dead inside?

Going into the season with Mike Smith as your number 1 with a back-up you didn't have confidence in is nothing short of idiotic.
And then the Duncan Keith move over the top to use up some of the cap space you DID have.
Just awful.

I thought they were fantastic moves of the kind that the Oilers should do more of.

They are, my Oilers buddy who was always good at trading barbs just takes it now. It's like punching a guy who is unconscious before the ref breaks up the fight.

I've said it before, Holland is on a secret mission to make sure McDavid ends up in Detroit. Then, he'll ride off into the sunset and take some sort of cushy front office job with the Wings.

Is there video of him storming off the bench?

It's not a No Movement Clause, it's No! Move Connor!

Connor requests a conditioning stint in Bakersfield. Then uses his NMC to prevent being called back up to the Oilers.

You have to wonder if he's had the discussion with his agent or a matter of when. If he hasn't I imagine this could be the summer it happens if they miss the playoffs. We all realize that McDavid isn't exactly a bubbly personality but the guy looks even more miserable than normal. Looks like a beaten down young man. It's also reflected in his play as this is a miserable stretch of hockey for him.

The primary reason he asked for this, was so that if he could orchestrate a move out of Edmonton...the next team(s) couldn't trade him back.

He is looking very fragile for a 63 year old.

The problem Calgary clearly had was coaches that weren't elite, then we hired Sutter and it solved the problem.
Edmonton has had several high level NHL coaches fail there, including Dallas Eakins who looked like a fool, and now is guiding the Ducks to very respectable results.
The old adage "Its not the coach, its the players" never rang more true. The honest question is how do they fix it? Honestly I can't see how. You need a complete overhaul, and even if that happens they don't have the right organizational culture to execute a proper burn down.

Yeah, he sounded like a little old man - his analysis was super shallow, too. He’s not up to it.

Holland rambling about how Smith's injury problems have caused them to overplay Koskinen, which is driving his play down.... what else could you expect with 40 year old Mike Smith?
"Team has lost its confidence, lost its swagger..."
I am so glad this guy is in charge of the Oilers. He has no clue what's wrong with this team.
