Long break coming up, and he only played partial game last night. Likely prioritizing his mental game, and believe he is up to the task physically. I was expecting Vladar as well but don’t think this is unreasonable at all

I'm glad the Flames are dominating possession the way they are, but it'd sure be nice if they had more goal scorers to finish all these chances. They do a really good job of making the other team's goalie look good a lot of nights. Maybe it'll be like Columbus though, game is close, until it isn't.

God, I hope Johnny re-signs. That kind of elite skill doesn't come around often, and this team needs to do whatever it can to keep him here. Dude is an absolute joy to watch.

I think we'll use both goalies a lot after the break... playing something like 40 games in 80 days is going to be difficult. There's no way we're riding Markstrom like we did toward the end of last season.
Also after you pull your number one you usually want to give him a chance to get his mojo back before a long break.
