Wow that’s impressive.

And Johnny has a few games on hand.

Our first line is elite.

Monahan is looking better and better out there and Backlund too.

Amazing game! Just wow! Monahan is really starting to come alive and is just missing some more puck luck to really start becoming the Monahan of old. Great to see!! Ruzicka looking solid the past two games as well, happy for the guy!! So many big smile moments in this game from Mangi finally hitting 100 points, Lindy get his 400th on a highlight real play by Johnny and Gudbranson netting his 1st as a flame to the whole team piling on 62 shots… just unreal. Bravo!!

I can't believe I missed these last two games (and that I will therefore have to keep missing games until they lose one).

When I saw 62 in the box score I thought someone had done goofed. It was only when I saw 39 shots with time left in the second period highlights that I realized it had to be accurate.

If the Flames could add just one more scoring threat up front, they'd up themselves into serious contender territory.

These last two games have been a ton of fun. Problem with this group is always consistency. Can they bring the same effort tomorrow and beyond. Not saying we are going to score 6 goals, or put up 62 shots, but it’s building on what Sutter wants. If they can find that in their game then I would say they have the potential to be quite dangerous.

If those 2 can keep it up, we will be an elite team in this league and serious playoff threat.
The top line, followed by those 2 at centre playing well on line 2/3 would be next level.

I REALLY wanted 7-0 tonight as today would have been Ken’s 70th…
So close!

Another beatdown. First line is fully clicking. Without going into a debate , have to think that flames first line is one of the best , if not the best, in nhl right now.

The fourth line started chipping in a bit more in the third period, when the game was already all but decided, but man ... that's a laughable result from the first 40 minutes. The Flames are really, really, really good, but they still have some weak links.
You keep harping about this but I honestly don’t see it. This is the best out 4th line has been in years IMO.

By my calculations, the Flames have shutout 50% of Eastern Conference teams this season.

Also, curious how many shot attempts has Calgary taken over the past two games? 150? That works out to a shot attempt every 48 seconds for two entire games straight.

Not to take away from Johnny's genius, butt similar to the McDavid goal there's just zero effort on defense here. No one takes Johnny, Lindholm, or Tkachuk. They're all free to go here with 4 guys back. Insane

Markstrom was great tonight, and really deserves some credit for some big saves when it was 1-0 and the Jackets were just hanging around. If he lets one of those in it could have been a lot closer game. Markstrom was deserving of the shutout, solid game.
And tomorrow on sportsnet? McCovid gushing
