You're 100% right.
I motion we make all future PGT scores 3-2.

If Backlund isn't hurt, I would be shocked. He looks like he is playing shinny hockey out there.

As i understand it, there is no such thing as good luck, good bounces or good officiating for the Flames or any of their players.

That's bad luck? He's our highest paid center.

His -1 was bad luck - which was what we were talking about. As for his powerplay time - he’s the bumper now, not the shooter. How many shots did Lindholm have on the powerplay? Tkachuk? Gaudreau?

Felt like we scored on a shot that probably shouldn't go in yet didn't score on like 4 that should've gone in lol.

Flames played a great game and were unlucky not to win.
I think someone needs to tell Mangiapane that he needs to just keep shooting. He has arguably become the teams’ best finisher and it’s odd how often his attempts at passing on a scoring opportunity instead of just shooting doesn’t work out. Virtually every time. Don’t let teammates and media teasing you about how few assists you have get to your head Eat Bread… just shoot it. Shoot it every time.

When you've been on pace for 55 goals and 10 assists, your mentality should be shoot first, every time.

Two goal line pucks, Tkachuk point blank wide, at the very least.

His overall work? He's one of the best in the league. So I think he's doing ok.
I never said he'd be leading the Vezina race right now, I said he'd be a finalist. He's been fantastic this year, and the stats show that. He's not going to win every game. But he's clearly showing us that I'd rather have him than most goalies in the league this year. Very glad we have him. He had to have a shutout tonight to win the game. That's a pretty high bar to set for him. Even if he leads the league in those as well.

And a penalty shot that just went wide.

Yeah, though that went wide because of an actual save by the goalie, unlike the other three.

The bigger transgression tonight is that of the three PGT's created, the one that wasn't accurate was selected as the main thread and that was over Reggie's genius Aho-ho-ho title!

What are you trying to argue here? Let's pretend he is a zero and not a -1. He still got beat on face-offs, gave the puck away more than any of those other players and had less.shots than Any of those players.

Current PP 1 distribution is just slightly different than it was earlier in the year. Whoever (often Johnny) is playing the half-wall position is creeping ever so slightly closer to the goal line, leading to shots that are poorer angles than they were when they were clicking. As well, any missed shot now goes hard to the far boards, and there's usually a defender close by to clear. Happened a few times in this game and has become noticeable over the past few games. Not sure what accounts for that, but it's affected the ability to score because the goalie can cheat a lot more now. OTOH, JG is incredible with his ability at puck retrieval when it comes to his side on a rebound.

Flames hung with the best. All those lucky goal-line bounces that went the canes way, followed by a puck that mistakenly trickled off Aho’s stick and went in. Flames got a point, losers up north didn’t. Move on.

Maybe I'm on an island but I thought flames dominated them. Hurricanes seemed to be allowed to play by late 90s clutch n grab rules
