Also, it’s 4 of our top 6 defenceman and 6 of our top-12 forwards. It’s not like we’re playing…a roster like the Oilers are...
I wonder if a poster's history of comments plays into the types of responses he elicites?

To be fair,

More than zero is a good crowd considering the last 1.5 years.

Pretty disappointing performance for many of these bubble guys in the 1st. More effort and execution is needed for any of these guys to make an impression worthy of a roster spot. It's not like they're playing Edmonton's "A" group out there, so there's not much of an excuse.

Pros:

Pospisil and Ruzicka look good. The bottom 6 vets don't look terrible.

Cons:

We should get used to this blue line giving up zone entries, they don't have the speed to defend the blue line.

The offense is nonexistent.

I am just happy to be watching a hockey game.

Lord Vladar looks great.

If it was Scorch shooting t-shirts, they'd be set on fire.

I'm getting super pumped about Vladar.

He has break out potential I think.

Had a rough go in his first audition in Boston, but had a fantastic resume coming into the NHL.

I've liked ;
Vladar
Zadorov
Looch line being meat tenderizers
Pelletier
Dube
Pospisil
Ruzicka

Don't think much of so far :
Gudbranson
Philips...honestly, Philips looks so freaking small in this line up its comical. It's like a tiny green army man amidst a bunch of original G.I Joes

And anyone's lacking faith in the Sutter is disappointing.

So maybe this is naive. But, at what point do teams trust the rookies (Heat guys) to start playing in the NHL instead of bringing suspect vets in? Is this normal, or the current GM thing?

When your AHL guys look bad compared to other team's AHL guys, there's no discussion of promotion.

If they want the job, they need to impress much more than they have so far or in previous appearances. In my mind, there's only 2 or 3 who are really knocking on the door.

Now if we want to talk about the nonsensical Gudbranson signing, I'm all ears.
