That render doesn’t really jive with what they released. Is that a giant prison window? My God.

And this is obviously water under the bridge now but if you search for the very last renderings that came out for CalgaryNext, they were beautiful. Not sure why they came out so late, the first ones just killed everyone’s enthusiasm (price tag too of course), much like this first reveal.

I feel the inside will be better, rumours I know, but heard the inside will be closer to Little Caesar’s. Not sure if anyone here can confirm.

My thoughts:

Good:
Wall of glass along 4th St, will make a god pedestrian environment.
Appears to be big video screens
Looks like there is some good lighting / opportunities for good lighting.
Some detail (perforation?) on that big upper wall

Bad:
Upper wall needs a lot more interest - it should be easy enough to do this.
I’m not going to trust those VERY preliminary renderings, but a big blank wall on the north end wouldn’t be great.

Overall:
Need to see more details, on the NW corner, North side, and entire East side.

Well, I was verified by the mods at that time - publicly too, so I’m not sure what to say to you. I think your hatred for a past iteration of the arena is the real issue here, and you’re taking your opinion of it out on me. You can definitely have your opinion, just like anybody can - but your irrational hate and bitterness is really affecting the quality of your arguments and posts. It’s time to move on.

I'm confused by "earlier". Are these part of the same presentation where the OP's first rendering were released or are these two renderings from an earlier stage of the design of the current rendering? I don't find these second two renderings fit in with the first one and look to be more of a "rough" design.
