For me, the hatred for Vegas stems from the stupid way the NHL Blackout policy works. I live nowhere near Las Vegas, but when the team I cheer for, the Blackhawks, play those idiots, I cannot view the game. I live 500 miles away from the place, and do NOT get any Las Vegas stations via either broadcast or satellite. I live closer to Denver than Las Vegas, and the Blackout policy never caused me any grief when the 'Hawks played the Avalanche.

If the NHL really wanted to punish Vegas they shouldn’t suspend idiot Reaves. Let him stay in the lineup and keep another player that can actually play hockey out of the lineup. All he’s good for is running guys and punching faces. What does he play, 6 min a game?

Well. I’m not sure how to interpret this.
Vegas has in all 4 years of its existence been in the playoffs. This year they are easily in the final 8 of 32
I think that any problem is a nice problem to have

You are defining the best player as the best offensive player.
Until they take out the defensive zone, the best player needs to also play defence.
With the game on the line, you want the player with the best chance to score before the other team.
