It's mostly guys who have said he wouldn't ever be a good player in the NHL and every year he proves them dead wrong. I think this has insulted their "hockey knowledge" and it angers them so they keep trotting out the same crap hoping Backlund will eventually falter.

If you have any understanding of the game of hockey and you watch the guy play I dont see how he can have hate thrown his way. But everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I know it won't count but brutal in a contact sport that you can't touch a puck rolling on a goalie's arm. I know, slippery slope with goalie contact.
