I'm pretty sure 2&7 had the 2 best colour guys of all time. I don't think Scotty Bowman ever did colour for anyone else. John Davidson did a few years for MSG after I think.

the only black eye for 2&7 was the debut of John Garrett.

Yes, it was quite known that Kidd was extremely superstitious and peculiar, his pre game rituals (as you had mentioned) were quite odd. It wasn't until towards the end of the career that he managed to get some semblance of normality.

I recall Kidd going through a phase where, after every save that froze the puck, he’d remain down with his head looking downwards for a while. It was supposed to be a focus thing but it (a) didn’t work and (b) was kinda weird.
