Tkachuk was the only guy who had issues that period. Lindholm kind of invisible. Good showings by everyone else IMO.

pretty much a perfect period by everyone but one. Tkachuk is absolutely terrible this season.. every single play dies on his stick, extremely tough to watch

Guys don't get so excited. They played at 9pm yesterday and got in late. Or was that the excuse last game?

- Awesome period
- Awesome period for Monahan
- Awesome period for Kylington, there is no way this guy should be sitting out in favour of Nesterov.

Big test for Sutter. Make sure his team doesn’t take a period off now.

Montreal crossing the red line is a push back compared to how 95% of the period went

That was a meat grinder of a period by the Flames.

And congratulations Monahan on goals 200 and 201!!

The guy doesn't get nearly enough respect on CP.

So nice to see an actual coach get the players playing with such pace. This is what the difference is.

Good time to end the period, right when Montreal started to push back.

That was a great period for Calgary, great hockey. Rest of the game is likely not going to be as easy, but we got a nice two goal cushion out of it

Bit of pushback from MTL the last shift.
But there were long stretches where they hardly touched the puck.

Kylington looks to be making the most of his chance. Good on him especially after being cold on the taxi squad, that can't be easy to get right into game pace.

Couple things they could still clean up but super solid.

Nice for Monahan to score a nice one then follow up with one of his typical garbage ones. He’s already had one good look at #3 and I think he’ll get a few more chances.

Great period! The flames have been on the receiving end of so many periods like that this season. It is a whole lot more enjoyable when the shoe is on the other foot.

Andersson and Valimaki both had really solid and confident defensive zone plays during the last couple shifts of that period.

Glad that last shot with a crowd in front of Markstrom didn’t find it’s way in - it would have been so unfair.

He's noticably struggling to make plays with the puck on his stick. Needs to simplify. If he didn't do that silly toe drag and threw it in the general direction of the net it still would have been a better play.

Darryl's probably ripping into him. I mean he is our highest paid player so better show the #### up Matthew.

CGY can move it quicker out of their end on some of those but it's splitting hairs. Just keep up the tempo and pace!
