But yeah, he looks healthier! Last year he looked like he had been awake for a week straight.

I hope mgmt is regretting waiving Oliver tonight. If he's claimed, that has Kulak written all over it.

I like that the defense as a whole looks way more aggressive, jumping into the rush, pinching in the offensive zone. Hopefully that carries forward as we go into the season.

Mangiapane looks like a man on a mission.

You can see that Zary has the smarts and skills to play, but he needs to get stronger and really needs work on his skating.

Valimaki is just smooth out there. Hanifin better have the best season of his career, because he will get passed by Valimaki shortly if he struggles.

I was hoping to see Gawdin push more, but I haven't really noticed him much.

After the Mangipane breakaway I was looking for him on the bench and didn't see him then or the rest of the period. I guess we will see when the 3rd starts.

I was looking up some notes on Dominik Simon and one note said a comparable was Jiri Hudler.

I thought that was interesting based on Hudlers success on that line with 13 and 23.

I have not missed listening to Derek Wills, for some reason I cannot stand the guy. Can't wait for Rick Ball's calls.

Very interesting...

I know that they scored more in 18/19, but I maintain that that season with Hudler was the best hockey that line has played.

Really nice to see Gaudreau and Monahan looking like their usual selves.

Who was it that couldn't keep up with Hanifin on his goal?

Looks like Markstrom is still not on the bench.

Ruzicka is really really close to grabbing a spot on this team. He has taken some big big strides this past year.

Why would he be, it’s a practice. He’s not going back in, in relief. He’s probably in a hot tub.

Mangiapane loves using his backhand. And I love that he loves doing that.

Under-appreciated (and under-utilized) skill.

Mangiapane and Bennett playing together in the third. Have played well for 2 or 3 shifts now.

Pretty nice luxury to have a guy like Domingue as your number 3. He could definitely come in and win us a few games in a pinch. Depth is going to be so key this year.
