I think the question of standing pat or trading draft picks comes down to what you think you are getting in the 3rd round (assuming that is what it would take to move up 5-6 spots). Is this draft really 80+ players deep? I know there is always some surprises in lower rounds.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

Per a conversation yesterday, Gunter was a faller - maybe the biggest this year? So that’s a red flag.

Where the hell do people get bad skating out of Gunler? Anyone?
Question his GAF but skating is not the issue.

Yeah they lost their pick, even if you look at the board on the TV coverage it shows the picks going 47 48 50
Calgary still "technically" picking 50, but it's the 49th pick

Yeah. Bad first strides. If this kid could skate better, his scoring ability would have had him much, much higher.

I believe Mysak is one of the youngest players in the draft and a very raw talent

Future Considerations doesn’t like his skating, it’s evident in watching highlights, and I believe Draft Dynasty crapped on it as well.

So five picks before us. Who are our five targets? So I can get excited every time someone else gets picked.

The issue with Gunler is his GAF meter, and perhaps his attitude. He's been left off of some national teams for a reason.

You realize Jankowski wasn’t a Treliving pick right? And that we’re in the second round?

We have watched VERY different highlight packs then. All he does is pressure d men with speed and then burns them.
