I don't put all the blame on Monahan but holy moly that is not what a #1 center looks like or produces. Really invisible for the most part. Time for a change.
Again... careful, people have been chastised and fired into the sun for saying less.

Based on the historical data posted so far tonight, I think very high: like top three in NHL history.

6 seasons, 4 playoffs, 4 coaches. The core has been given their shots.

Wants to win
Isn’t committed to the things you have to do

Wanting is easy
Committing is hard

I don’t think a lot of people understand just how competitive world class athletes are. These guys are all winners in having made it to the big show , if losing was ok they would have never made it to the NHL.

I think when people reflect tomorrow they will realise the Flames outplayed Dallas in this game. The issue is they didn't show up hard until period 2 of game 5, which leaves no margin for error.

I also really believe a quality coach gets way more out of this team. We definitely need some changes, but unless we hire a quality coach there is no point.

Different team than last playoffs. They just had zero tactical support from Ward.

Sucks.

This completely sucks, but I think if we had pulled a series win out of our asses it might have done more harm for this franchise long-term.

It feels pretty evident the team needs to be blown up, which definitely wouldn't have happened if we made it to round 2 IMO. We'd cling to that small saving grace as the basis for giving it another year.

Of course as I say that watch nothing happen this off-season anyways...

You could tell by Backlund and Monahans answer to the goalie question that they were pissed off that Talbot was pulled.

Just a horrible decision by Ward.

I don’t consider this a different coach / coaching staff.

All the same coaches in this series were the ones that were out coached by Colorado last year and couldn’t make adjustments.

This year no coaching adjustments until game 6.

I’d say there’s a high probability that at least one of them goes. On the right team both contracts are very reasonable for the regular season production. Unfortunately I think we will keep Monahan, who I have less confidence will bounce back with new linemates.

well, not sure what to say... different year, same result.

letting a 3-0 lead slip away and giving up 7 straight?

This team simply doesn't have what it takes...guys like Pavelski are the type of players calgary needs...

At this point in time, i think they need to make major changes. Will they? We'll see. Not holding my breath.

Derek Wills just said he thinks the D and forwards had their best game of the series? Did I catch that?

They did statistically

They allowed 7 high danger scoring chances
