I think our roster is just really lacking size, speed, and hustle. We've got skill and hockey IQ in spades but most of our players are a liability in at least 1 (and often 2) of those attributes, so when a bigger/faster team shows up we get dominated in puck battles and loose puck races. If you're absolutely on point with your puck movement you can win despite that, but it's tough.

The Stars broadcast team is one of the better ones. Daryl Reaugh is one of the best color guys on any broadcast IMO and I think he calls it as down the middle as you could reasonably expect. He used to be on HNIC once in a while and I wish they’d get him back.

One less point that Mark Stone and Bergeron. Same points as Scheifele and Crosby. More points than Couture, Duchene, Horvat, Hall, Kucherov, Connor, Laine and Backstrom. Yeah, how embarrassing, what a bum. Give your head a shake.

I expect the team to look a little different come playoff time...were you picking the Blues, Blue Jackets, and Avs to get past the first round at this time last year?

This year I’ve skipped a lot of games. Decided to go on living my life even if it was a game day. This seems to have removed so much stress from my life. Tonight I had nothing going on, I’ve watched every minute. I’m really not having a pile of fun. This version of the Flames just gives me very little joy. I’m glad I’ve taken a bit of a step back. I hate being this wound up about a damn hockey team.

Don't think it's about that at all. Johnny can't make anything happen even when he has time and speed right now. That sequence late in the second where he fumbled and gave up the puck twice in a few second, despite not being pressured by the d is very telling of how things are going for him right now.
