I was disappointed the episodes were so short at first but as long as it’s good then I don’t care. I don’t want them squeezing in weak content for the sake of runtime.

This may be the series that gets me interested in Star Wars again. It sounds like the next movie is officially the end of the Kathleen Kennedy era, and the Mandalorian is the first entry in the new Star Wars era where Disney has handed the reins to Marvel alumni like Jon Favreau

I actually like the short episodes and think it's perfect for this story as there's no filler.

I think this series may help ticket sales for the Rise of Skywalker as it's got me more interested for sure as I was pretty down after TLJ.

Even if I love The Mandalorian it would not get me excited at all about RoS, I see them as the products of completely different creative teams with different visions and goals for the series. The new era team is being brought in to help with RoS, but I'd be surprised if they can do more than patch holes on a sinking ship.

I'm certainly skeptical in regards to ROS but the Mandalorian has got me back into Star Wars to the point I may see it in theatre now as I was going to wait for it to hit video as I can no longer trust critics in regards to Star Wars after TLJ. I will wait for word of mouth but if the word is positive I may see it in the theatre.
It made me go back and watch A New Hope and Empire. They're just so great, and the Special Edition additions are still just so jarring and unnecessary.
I haven't rewatched Jedi yet because I don't think I'm ready to deal with the musical number in Jabba's palace at the moment.

Yeah ...it's as bad as I remember. #### you Lucas, you pumpkin headed mofo.
That added scene was always so bizarre to me. It was supposed to appeal to children?
It's also cut into a scene where the crime lord pulls a prostitute, by the chain around her neck, into a pit so that she can be eaten alive for his own amusement. That's some real wholesome family fun time there George.

Don't forget that we had the infamous nipple slip

none of it adds anything. My favourite example is this. Check at 50 seconds in the 2011 special edition frame. (edit: it actually appears that that's the preview thumb, so that's handy)
Just total unnecessary clutter that literally does nothing for the scene. "Just throw more #### on the screen". Why? Why George?
Newest episode was good, the humanization of the Mandalorian continues. Along with some back story, which is nice.
The Baby Yoda cuteness was turned up to 11. Sipping the bone broth was my favourite part of the episode.
The way they handled the AT-ST was awesome, shades of a T-Rex coming through the forest, coincidentally it was directed by Bryce Dallas Howard..
I was screaming at my TV when that sniper had baby yoda in his sites, I was thinking.. They wouldn't, would they? They couldn't! Could they?
