Much better period by the Heat there. Other than the PPs, I thought the Heat gave as good as they got.
Talbot still looking good out there. Made several very good saves and looked calm.

Jankowski with his best period of the preseason. Made some plays on the pk and 5 on 5. Nice backcheck at one point and my a bit unlucky not to have picked up an assist with the cross crease pass at the end there.

The only time I have ever seen the 'keep throwing guys out there, we're getting a penalty anyway' tactic implemented, was in peewee.
It was the last minute of the game, and we already had 2 in the box, so it's 5 on 3 (might have been 4 on 3). The coach - God bless him! - just keeps throwing another kid out there, time after time. We keep getting another too many men penalty, but it doesn't change the 5 on 3, and it's the last minute, so the extra penalties won't come into play anyway.
By the time the game ends, we have maybe 7 or 8 guys in the box. But we held them off and killed off the last minute to preserve the win.
The other team's coach is losing his mind of course, but what could the refs do? They kept calling penalties, which was all they could do.
One of my favorite, and most enduring memories, from minor hockey.
