Haha
I reccomend bookmarking bluejaysmilb scoreboard. Keep an eye on Vlad, Bo, Biggio, Groshans, Pearson, Pardhino, etc
Lots of prospects worth keeping an eye on while the MLB team positions itself for a high pick.

Let’s say the Jays pick top 5 at the draft following this season...when could you usually expect that player to be with the big club? Don’t they usually take at least 3-4 years

Depends if he is a prep school player or a finished university product. The former could be 2-4 years while the other could potentially join the team after the draft or the next season. All dependent on whether he signs with the Jays of course.
EDIT: It most often takes draft picks at the very least two full years in the minors before they see MLB time.

Yeah the Astros drafted Bregman in 2015 and he was on the roster in 2016. An all star by 2018.
But even if it takes a few years, no biggie.

Another quality start from Stroman at least.
Too bad Borucki is hurt. Would have been nice to see if he could follow up last seasons performance.
SRF got lit up in AAA yesterday. Something is off with him for sure.
Buckholtz pitched today. Only gave up 4 hits in 5 innings but they were all dingers haha

Maybe the Blue Jays are bad enough to lose 110 games this year. I thought they'd have too much competition for 100 loss teams in the AL. But they seem intent on leading that pack.
Sad state of the game when you have more teams trying to lose 100 games a year, than trying to win that many.

The MLB needs a salary cap. Not sure what number that should be but somewhere near $150 million. A floor of $100 million.

I agree with the Cap, especially in a league where only a few teams make the post season but I would go a bit higher with the Cap and lower with the floor. 80M for a floor and 180M for a cap. There are 4 teams right now that would have to spend more and 4 Teams that would have to trim.
Could go lower with the Cap, but its better then nothing.

I can’t believe what I’m seeing. The jays have 6 hits and it’s only the 4th inning AND they’re succeeding at small ball.
Be still my beating heart.

Well. Hope they can have more games like this. They'll still lose a ton of games but hopefully we can see more games with at bats like this. Much easier on the fans eyes.
Almost everyone looked decent with the bat today, even Gurriel Jr looked good.
