Maybe if the Flames had of ...
....wait for it....
played well, I wouldn't have to read the word 'ref' in every second post, because the Flames decide their own fate. Accountability. I've seen this team dominate, and frankly this team hasn't had a convincing win since before the all-star break. There is always something left to be desired after every game I finish watching and for a good chunk of time now, win or loss. Coach Peters also placing blame on the refs instead of his guys is equally as concerning to me. Focus on the real reason they lost like a true leader.

The goal reversal is a joke, a complete joke (Lindy Ruff emphasis).
EDIT: Ref.

I caught bits and pieces of the game, and didn't see this replay.
How in the world is that a goalie interference call? Not only does he make the save he MIGHT have been interfered on, he then moves, sees the puck, moves a bit more, sets, reacts and almost stops it. Without MT being anywhere near him.
What a BS call.

There's plenty of reasons to be optimistic this team can get their crap figured out in time, but if you're not worried how this team fares in the playoffs you haven't been paying attention.
Thankfully it's virtually impossible we face SJ in round 1, but winning the div and facing a wildcard team is HUGE. If we can win a round I feel like this team can get rolling and take on anybody. But that first round scares me way more than I think it should given our record to this point.

Fleury in for Subban wouldn’t have made a lick of difference for the Knights in that first game. The 7-2 final score was quite flattering for the Knights.

The yard sale from Fleury is pretty funny. Knew right away they were going to overturn the goal. Apparently hockey is going the way of soccer....

You'd think they learned with the laughable "player in the crease" rule, but nope. Same #### different year.
And to think they want scoring to be up, then they implement the goalie interference and off-side reviews. One step forward, two steps back.

Adding challenges into the game has certainly not made the percentage of correct calls go up, certainly not by the “spirit of the law”.
They definitely haven’t made the game better.
The standard for any kind of review should be they can only overturn egregious missed calls. Determine if a puck is over the line sure.

It is what it is. That's a terrible no-goal call. Fleury sold it, the refs bit.........somehow. After 5 minutes of talking about it.
If you need to convince each other it's not a goal........it's probably a goal. But Fleury has been around for a while, he knows how to play the game. He gambled, and won.

My biggest worry about the playoffs is that we are likely going to get screwed by the refs.

Look at the Flower flop like a fish... complete theatrics on the spin and dive roll. How did the refs get that wrong? And the D boxing tkachuk into the vicinity of Fleury. This is the worst interference call I’ve seem in s long time. Garbage. Reputation call? Nice guy fleury vs. that dastardly tkachuk? GARBAGE call.

Yup.. outside the crease. And he puts his own stick in there.
Embarrassing verdict.

That's one heck of a terrible call by those refs. Is a player no longer allowed to move at all in the vicintiy of the crease?

One positive I’m going to take out of today is at least I’m not also a PSG fan.

This is the perfect time for adversity if they can shake it. A good wake up call for the team. Hopefully they dig in and fight through it to go into the playoffs rolling with confidence. Rittich played well. The bottom two lines are rolling. If the first line gets their swagger back, there is a lot to like. Vegas or Minny or Colorado likely in the first round. Looking forward to seeing what this team is made of. Also looking forward to playoff Hamonic and Giordano.
If Stone can find his game in the last month he would be perfect in front of the net. I like what Kyllington brings in the regular season speed game, but in the playoffs you need some lumber in front of the net.

It isn’t just the lack of production, it is how they are draining the life out of our play. None of them not called Johnny can gain the zone. When Johnny does it, far too often a no look pass results in a turnover. They barely achieve any zone time now.
And our power play?

Maybe its just me, but every team gets cold throughout the season.
This is the optimal time to have the cold streak.
You don't want to cruise through the regular season and his your cold streak in the playoffs.
It's a long season, and the bounces aren't going the Flames way. Play well and it will pass.

Fleury didn’t need to somersault like that. There was no interference on the goal. At best there was interference on the shot before the goal-shot, if grasping at straws here
