Well...looks like the team finally got the message about playing with work ethic as well as skill. Looked extremely good outside of a shift or two.
On an even better note, Smith looks very good so far. It doesn't mean he won't give up a soft goal tonight, but he looks better than he has in weeks on the saves he's needed to make so far. Having a legit strong backup is going to push this team pretty far, so I sure hope he can do that job.

Turned the puck over a couple of times and got muscled on the boards in his end but he did stick with it and make some plays too

Watching the Arizona feed. Shout out to their PBP team. Not overly biased, very professional, nothing but respectful of the Flames as a dangerous opponent.

Sending the entire Oilers roster to a meaningless game is just the NHL taking care of the crying fans of the Oilers. They can have it.

I was ready to criticize the pass to the middle of the ice right to a Yote, but same shift he assists Gio.

The All-star game is a lie. Circle jerk fan service game for the home city and whichever fanbase had nothing else to do to spam votes every waking hour, aka Edmonton.
Will take a long spring over AS recognition any day and the players certainly would agree.

When the guy hit the flaming C before he could complete the belly flop. Good lateral movement,
And the puck off the skate blade when he had no clue where it was. Nice positional save. :-)
