It's funny though. You don't rage out or anything, just get progressively grumpier as the game went on.

If my family and friends are any indication, I believe that's just the natural progression of a "born-and-raised" Winnipegger...(just replace "the game" with "time in general").

The Flames never outplayed us.
Laine scored on our own net and we got outgoalied by a boring trap team.

My favourite from the Jets thread.

Never had people just leave keys on the kitchen table and walk away from a mortgage in Winnipeg and a young person can still afford to buy a house here
not taking anything away from Calgary - love the city but stop it with the put down of other cities that are also a good place to be and raise a family

LOL.....trap team.....good one.
This is a legit team when it gets goaltending. They are getting it in spades with BSD.
Flames are 4th best in the NHL in terms of goal differential.

nothing really to add that hasn't been said. Rittich is a stud, he is our number one going forward and needs to be signed long term, we just need a decent backup. Johnny hockey is our best player, and we have a lot of good players. Someone needs to set him up with a nice Calgary girl so he stays here and I don't have to hate him in a Phili jersey.

The lakes around Winnipeg are hugely underrated. Best in Canada outside of BC

This is fun. Not only are the Flames winning this year, they are also beating up on the best teams in the league. Against the Top 10 (non-Flames) teams in the standings as of today, the Flames are 10-2-2.
Wins against Boston, Nashville (2), Colorado (2), Winnipeg (2), Columbus, Toronto, Buffalo. Regulation losses to San Jose and Nashville. Shootout losses to Washington and Tampa Bay.
Pretty darn impressive.
Edit: I just checked the updated standings and Pittsburgh and Vegas have now technically squeaked into the Top 10, which makes the Flames'record slightly less impressive, but still...

*shrug* take the L and move on. Congrats on the win.
edit: Clarified that you have to close hand on the puck, so that's why no call.

Best in the league against the top 10 too based on the Haynes article last week.
Winnipeg is under .500 against the top 10 now I believe.

I get that you're a Winnipegger, but what a salty reply... Winnipeg and Edmonton are the least-desirable places to live in the NHL by 45 standard deviations - own it and accept it. You have a decent team, despite your city!
