I looked it up were talking like a week and half difference. November 20th 2001, they were 13-2-2. For sure that is the last time they were flying this high in the standings.
Not such bad company considering a year in a half later they were 1 goal from the cup, and they were a cup contender for a couple years after that.
But still a fair warning that the season is not over.

If the first line keeps scoring at this rate, CSEC should sell enough purple Gatorade to fund the new arena without public funds.

It might be a small thing but can someone explain to me how as of yesterday the flames are 14th in NhL.com power rankings?

How do you get to first in the conference? You beat the teams you’re supposed to beat and Flames did a very nice job of handling an undermanned Preds team tonight.
This is just a lot of fun to watch right now. Flames playing well at both ends of the ice.

He can rat all he want, that's still a non-goal. The panel covered this briefly but Smith took a hard shot to the mask and went down with the mask coming off, refs are going to blow that dead every day of the week in case the goalie is hurt. In the examples where a goal counted, the goaltender stayed up when the mask came off with no obvious signs of being hurt. Flames didn't get away with one there, refs called it like they always have when a goaltender looks possibly injured

This is the happiest drunk flames win ever !!
I'm proud of how the team responded after missing 2 key pieces.
I'm savoring every moment of this season, it has the potential to be special!

Both replays they showed where the goal counted clearly showed the goalie shaking or pulling their own mask off because a strap broke. Smith didn't do that
