I've abandoned all hope.
It's over and we're all going to die.

I am very much hoping that power shifts to the dems, but I will not be shocked if things go well for the Republican party today. It is terrible that after two years of lying and racism people would still vote in such numbers for that party but it would not be shocking based on what has been demonstrated already.
It is shameful that we are in a time when we can legitimately say a child with a smart phone in rural Africa has more access to information than Bill Clinton did when he was president but such a huge percentage of the electorate in a country like America is disconnected from the real world.

LOL...I know this is younge in cheek..but it is exactly this mindset on both sides why politics has become so polarizing instead of centrism dominating...

In truth I just want a Congress that will put the brakes on Trump and his idiotic trade decisions so my retirement investments stop getting curb stomped.

Florida gonna Florida.
Quote:
Ron DeSantis is up by 87,000 votes in the Governors race and Rick Scott is ahead by 64,000 in the Senate race with more than 95 percent of the vote in. The GOP could be notching huge wins in this state, solidifying their majority in the Senate and securing a big win by defeating Andrew Gillum in the race for the governors mansion. Florida is not called yet, but it’s looking hard for either Nelson or Gillum to win.

Imagine behaving completely reprehensible for two years and then getting tacit approval from the voters in the midterms. Just think about how far it's going to go now.

Yup, America is f***ed. In no way should rural areas have this much sway in elections. That country's system is officially broken.

A world with even greater urban-rural polarization, which is roughly what we’re seeing in the results so far tonight, is a tough world electorally for Democrats given how rural areas have a disproportionate amount of influence in the Senate.

It’s looking that way. I’m starting to doubt there’s any sort of “blue wave” on the horizon here.

Imagine how much better off we would be if we had a chamber in Canada where Alberta would have equal say as Ontario?

Seems that lead is too big to overcome at this point.

Vox had a Gillum 2020 article early today. I liked him. Too bad.

It was always going to be tough for Gillum. Florida is basically a microcosm of America with the urban/rural divide, but with more insane people.
