Sounded like they were lazy tonight.
And when Rittich shut the door early and they snuck one in they probably thought they might be able to get away with a repeat of New York.
Bit its hard to recover when you take your foot off the gas entirely and the other team breaks the dam with three goals quickly.
I'd rather we work to claim our wins than try to sneak away with them. Time for these guys to put on their work boots again.
We have a lot of speed And we aren't using it.
A positive is were getting goaltending. But I don't know how sustainable it is given the unknown that is Rittich.

That’s easy to say but no one, regardless of what they do or what they make performs at their peak level every single day. Expecting that is ridiculous. In Gretzky’s prime years he still had a handful of games where he earned 0 or 1 point. Crosby has had goalless droughts of 11 and 12 games. He was held pointless 4 times in 5 games last year alone.

I wonder why Frolik was used so sparingly after the great performance the other night?

Guys probably been partying lots. Probably a few hungover.

This team needs more museum guys.
Or maybe stop worrying about drinking and partying and focus on the real problem.

Flames lose 3-2 in Montreal
Love that video of Tkachuk.
Within the next few years, I think we see a passing of the torch from Gio to Chucky in the same way we saw Connie pass it to Iggy.
This team is going to be fired up against the Penguins.

I would guess that speculation comes from what fans have seen within Calgary when they are at home. Its not hard to find stories while they are at home. On the road we have no idea but its not like this core hasn't been spotted out and about late night.

If you gave me $5m a year at age 21 and put me in Montreal and NY for a couple nights...Hey Mon! Its party time!
Among the worst players today:
Hanifin - age 21
Monahan - age 24
Valimaki - age 20
Johnny - age 25
It's not really a stretch to think that a couple nights of partying in world class cities on one of the first road trips of the year could have had an adverse influence on their play.

I'd like to see these pairings.
Gio - Andersson
Brodie - Stone
Valimaki - Hanafin
Honestly, it's going to be a shame if Andersson is the odd man out when Hamonic returns.

If I was a coach that would be banned . You have teams worried about video games and banning them. Your paid 5 million a year to show up and perform . I only make 20 bucks and hour and showed up to work hung over once and got sent home .
Of coarse everthing is certainly speculation at this point. Its hard not to speculate based on whats been put out there. I do tend to believe what fans say about that sort of habits because in the late 2000s I worked at the living room on 17th . At the time It was frequently visted by the Flames . I saw things first hand and the lifestyle that does take place in sports when they are out. They only good thing I saw was Iggy always paid the cheque , was always light on drinks, wouldn't eat anything to oily or anything that had butter in it and always was on of the first to call it a night.

They do for sure. But you think It it is always followed? I've read lots of articles and books were former players talk about not folowing curfew. Also what stop people from having fun before curfew? Room service, mini bars etc
Again speculation but its possible to work around curfew rules .

I don’t know if it was (allegedly) partying, or whatever, but now I apparently have an excuse to be garbage at my job. Sorry boss, I know we had a big day today, but I was out with the boys yesterday. My bad. Won’t happen unless I find myself in a nice city, then all bets are off.
I mean, I would block shots for league minimum. Pretty sure most of us would. These guys are very lucky to be playing a game, maybe skip the drinks?

Seems like baseless speculation.
I highly doubt Giordano would be cool with that.

Yeah, we're erring into some uncomfortable territory here. Not a huge fan of this type of discussion.

It’s early in the season. If the boys want to have a couple drinks go ahead. But they should realize if they come out slow the night after partying it’s gonna be pretty tough to convince coach to let them have many more nights out...
But seriously, remember that these guys are people too. They like going out drinking just as much as the next guy and also they are mostly too young to get real hangovers so not really an excuse
