Of course he did, he wrote Congrats to me and my wife and Welcome to my son and then autographed it! What an amazing person!

Go Iginla Go!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also...I never tire of watching Vincent Lecavalier getting his face punched in. He has such a punchable face, admit it, we all wanted Iggy to do it.

I watched mesmerized for about 10 minutes before he skated over to the bench, grabbed a sharpie from his bag, signed one of the pucks, and tossed it over the glass to me. I almost missed the bus waiting for him outside the locker rooms, honestly not wanting anything, but he offered to sign my ball cap and I didn't say no.

Easily my favourite player, favourite Flame and will always appreciate his gracious and genuine attitude to the city and his fans.

Gosh, watching that Saprykin clip makes me sad. What's wrong with me?! Especially when Cole says that game 7 is in Calgary. It was almost 15 years ago!!

The "hangin in the dome" part would have even morphed into a different meaning if the team does indeed hang the number 12 in the rafters that night.

I tried to get my wife to do some cool middle names for my son Cooper. I was a huge Chipper Jones fan... He was my hero growing up. I tried to get a pass on Cooper Jones as first/middle name.

I also tried to get Cooper Nixon passed through because ... get it. Nick's Son.... My wife wasn't impressed with either.

It's incredible that Iginla got to win two Gold Medals as a part of two of the greatest assemblies of hockey talent in history. Just look at some of the names on the 2002 and 2010 Olympic teams.

2002 - Mario Lemieux, Joe Sakic, Steve Yzerman, Eric Lindros, Al MacInnis, Scott Niedermayer, Chris Pronger, Theoren Fleury, Paul Kariya, Brendan Shanahan, Rob Blake, Marty Brodeur, Eddie Belfour, Adam Foote, Owen Nolan, Joe Nieuwendyk... Jarome Iginla

2010 - Sidney Crosby, Joe Thornton, Chris Pronger, Scott Niedermayer, Drew Doughty, Patrick Marleau, Patrice Bergeron, Ryan Getzlaf, Roberto Luongo, Duncan Keith, Jonathan Toews, Marty Brodeur, Eric Staal, Rick Nash, Shea Weber... Jarome Iginla

^ Not just won as part of the team. Big in both wins.

Gotta love the way he dug it out in the golden goal / the “Iggy!” heard around the world

Absolutely. One of the greatest clutch performers of all time. Among the greatest Canadian Olympians ever. Two huge goals in the final in 2002 and, of course, the classic "Iggy!" moment in 2010. He had a hat trick in 2010, too -- just a dominant tournament. One of the only guys who could be counted on to play with Crosby.

And was on the ice when the game winning goals were scored both times.

Screening the goalie in Salt Lake (followed by scoring the insurance goal), and assisting on the Golden Goal in Vancouver.

I'm convinced Iggy tipped the Sakic shot for the winner in SLC.

8:38 if this video seems clear that Iggy tipped it

I left out some guys, too -- the roster was filled out by Ed Jovanovski, Simon Gagne, Ryan Smyth, Mike Peca, and Eric Brewer. About as good as a team as you can get.
