I named my son's middle name Jarome and I contacted the Flames just to let them know this and they asked Jarome to sign a picture. Of course he did, he wrote Congrats to me and my wife and Welcome to my son and then autographed it! What an amazing person!

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
Iginla and Kipper were the soul reasons why I ever got into hockey in the first place.
I accidentally wandered into the Flames community arenas after morning practice one day as an 8 year old. Iggy was doing laps and working on taking one timers from the left side circle. I watched mesmerized for about 10 minutes before he skated over to the bench, grabbed a sharpie from his bag, signed one of the pucks, and tossed it over the glass to me. I almost missed the bus waiting for him outside the locker rooms, honestly not wanting anything, but he offered to sign my ball cap and I didn't say no.
Easily my favourite player, favourite Flame and will always appreciate his gracious and genuine attitude to the city and his fans.

Absolutely. One of the greatest clutch performers of all time. Among the greatest Canadian Olympians ever. Two huge goals in the final in 2002 and, of course, the classic "Iggy!" moment in 2010. He had a hat trick in 2010, too -- just a dominant tournament. One of the only guys who could be counted on to play with Crosby.
