I don't know man, that movie featured a scene with Nic Cage drinking a victory beer out of a dead guy's skull. I mean c'mon, that's just awesome.

Yeah the first avenger movie with Chris Evans. From what I remember it was just a big boring Nationalist Mess. One of those superhero movies with way too much backstory, Ang Lee Hulk style.

I love Nicolas Cage. Nobody takes more chances than Cage. And when he teamed up with Werner Herzog, another cinematic risk taker, it was movie gold.

I love this particular scene. It is Cage unhinged but he also adds his own twist. It is not enough for one to just hide inside the room, one should simultaneously hide and shave.

"Shoot him again. His soul is still dancing"

This is Herzog's version of the infamous traffic stop scene in Ferrara's original film. NSFW'ed for content.

NSFW!

Cage has definitely made some awful films over the years, but every once in a while he actually delivers a pretty great performance (Leaving Las Vegas, Adaptation, Raising Arizona, Bad Lieutenant, Bringing Out the Dead).

His performance in the 2014 drama "Joe" was amazing.

Joe is a great film, and it was also a comeback of sorts for David Gordon Green. Other great Cage performances: Snake Eyes, The Weather Man, Lord of War, Bringing Out the Dead, Matchstick Men.

I also enjoyed The Rock. His performance is certainly over the top, but it's super entertaining, which is exactly what a movie like that calls for.

The Family Man is a good Nic Cage flick as well.

That's kind of the thing: He's kind of either great or terrible. There is no middle ground.

I’m so happy that the “worst movies ever” thread is turning into a “Nic cage appreciation” thread!

Oh, there are going to be some amazing movies made about this #### show. Assuming humanity survives to make them.

Worst film I didn't notice mentioned yet might be a local one, Fubar.

Nic Cage honourable mention goes to The Knowing, there's allot of turds in there but that one was so much less than it thought it was.

Last year Great Wall takes the prize for sure,
But I was also pretty mad at Power Rangers all they needed to do is play the song and use slightly more classic costumes, so it at least looked like a power rangers movie, instead it was just some weird random crappy alien movie.

(almost missed King Arthur which was another deserving 0 stars last year)

It did! It also had a scene where he shot up a bunch of people while having sex. It was...not good. Lol
