I am rooting for the Jets. Not in a rabid kind of way, but I really do like to see small markets do well. I also spent a large part of my life in Winnipeg or towns around Winnipeg, so I do have a soft spot for them.
And from a strictly non-sentimental perspective, they are really one hell of a team IMO. They could be in any city, American or Canadian, and they would have my attention.

I wasn't paying attention and need a Coles notes answer for;
Hows Vegas set up for long term ?
They did a lot of trades to get future assets - I thought- but I notice don't have many high picks next year. So did their main young prospects already contribute this year or is there an above average wave still to come ?
None of their 2017 picks made the nhl this year so they'll probably have a rookie or two make it next season. 2/3 of their top line is locked up long term in Marchessault and Smith, and signing Karlsson should be their top priority this off-season. They took on some cap floor contracts in Clarkson and Grabovski which will come off the books so they will have a lot of cap space.
Edit: I'm not sure when Clarkson and Grabovski's contracts expire but Vegas could exceed the cap by their values since both are on LTIR.

Lots of money coming off the books with Neal, Perron, Reaves, Grabovski, Sbisa, Stoner being UFAs. They have to fill those spots, and they have 5 RFAs including Karlsson.

Winnipeg is the only city where I have been to, among those who stlll have a playoff team. So I will cheer for them.
I'm the exact inverse, Winnipeg is the only city of the final 4 that I haven't been to. I'm torn as I think both fan bases have been fantastic this year. If any fanbase has been underwhelming, it's been DC's.
The line on winnipeg to win Lord Stanley is bet 100 to win 220. I've never been a gambling man but I think I'm gonna have to put a few hundred down on the Jets.
CBC has Jim Hughson, Craig Simpson, and Scott Oake
NBC has Kenny Albert, Joe Micheletti, and Pierre McGuire
TVA Sports has Sébastien Goulet, Alain Chainey, and Marc-André Perreault
Westwood one radio has Ralph Strangis, Jim Fox, and Steve Goldstein

Pipe dream I know, but NBC having Doc and Kenny Albert being number 1 and 2 sucks. Doc's got great passion and I respect him, but his voice is nails on a chalkboard. Albert always sounds like he's talking with his mouth full.
Should have carried over Cuthbert and Forslund from the previous round.
