Giordano s work ethic and compete level is unparalleled in the NHL, for a skilled player, IMO.

The Flames have broken a few bad streaks this season. Anaheim, Buffalo, and now the Oilers one. They need to pretend they're breaking losing streaks for every game until the end of the post season.

I’d rather have lost for the next two decades in Anaheim (reg season) then lose this many to the Oilers. Still have to beat them again in a couple weeks.

Mmmhmmmm. Except that the Flames had 54% CF and 14-10 edge in high danger scoring chances.

Agreed. I crapped on them in the GT in the 1st period, but as the game went on, it was almost invariably the bottom six doing a good job of putting pressure on the Oilers in their end.

I honestly can't wait until he's back. Steeger adds some much needed skill and hockey smarts to our PP that's been missing since he went down. I think he'll definitely help.

Man if Mike Smith can continue to play like this then we are going to get in. As good as he was though, no way I would say he stole this game. Def our best player but our team D was solid. Smith’s best save came on weird bounce off the ref on that PK, can’t really fault the D on that. Also Talbot was great on the other end, he had some great saves too.
Really liked what I saw from Nick Shore, very poised, even with white shirts around him. Stewart on the other hand needs to get dropped, he’s bad, experiment over. Bring Janko back for him. If Versteeg is healthy then not sure who to drop, I lean towards Hathaway but he played good tonight. Still though, Lazar/Stajan/Brouwer have been playing solid for a decent stretch now so either Versteeg comes in for Hath or Janko. Regardless, just drop Stewart please.

Hamonic is quickly becoming one of my favourite flames. Maybe he came in a bit overrated due to the cost we paid for him, but he is physical and is a warrior every night. An updgrade on Russell, who I liked when he was here as well.

I saw a truck today with Oilers flags on it and writing on the windows that said:
BoA 7-0; soon to be 8-0
To that sweatpant wearing Oil fan loser I say this:
