Don't think he's getting "bent out if shape" hes just stating the truth. Someone asked if "you know this as fact" & he stated his sources and facts. I didn't see anything wrong

If he is done in Calgary, wish it didn't end this way, would like to somehow see him end it in Pittsburg, but I don't think his playing time would be much different than in Calgary, even if he did get healthy. Wouldn't mind if somehow he became the Flames powerplay coach.

You think that it's possible 40 year old Giordano will be passing that Cup to a 52 year Jagr on whatever team they would be playing on at that time?

It was fun having Jagr, a legendary player, here for a couple months on his last legs. Now imagine how fun it will be one day(hopefully) when the Flames have that absolute true superstar, "generational player", for the bulk of their career including beginning and peak years!!! Iginla was great but not that player. Kent Nilsson had the monster season and was "Gretzky south" for a few seasons but most are too young to know or remember.

Imagine how great to have a Gretzky, Lemieux, Crosby, Orr, Ovechkin, Bossy caliber one day hahaha

For a year or two Iginla was the best player in the league. Ask Trevor Linden.

IMO Fleury had potential to be the best too.

Jagr the only Flame not present at the Superskills today. Injured players were still on the bench. It appears the rumours are correct, his time in yyc is over

He was definitely at the dome today, but if he didn’t appear on the bench that says a lot.

I wish Jagr all the best but am glad it's over. It was worth a try but just didn't work and having guys like Hathaway come into the lineup has been so much more impactful.

Hopefully some of the influence he gave to players like Gaudreau makes a lasting impact on them and their confidence in being elite.

Was a lot of fun calling Jagr a Flame, but time to ice the best team and get into the playoffs.

Very, very sad to see. But the guy's turning 46 soon. That's not just ancient by modern NHL standards, that's like grampa zone.

From Galaxy91122 of reddit, here is his goal along with Beasley's legendary "Jaromiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiir Jagr" goal call.

This sucks but at least we got to see Jagr score a sweet goal in a Flames jersey.

Why does Jagr need to leave the team now though? Can't they just put him on the IR for 6 weeks or so and then give him another chance? There are going to be more injuries and it doesn't hurt to have veteran depth for the stretch run.

I mean he only has a 60% scoring chance for % as a banged up 45 yo that missed training camp

There is plenty of gas left in this tank

Let him rest and prepare for 6 weeks and then you get a free top 6/borderline top line forward at the deadline

Will never happen, Flames will never be bad enough to get a player like that.

The odds will always be better for a team with a bunch of excellent players versus a team with a generational player - moreso in the cap era.

Flames will win the cup with this core. Edmonton never will with McJesus.

I'm glad I got to see Jagr in a Flames uniform. Thanks Jagr!

Why was jagr at the Dome today? Getting treatment? Since he wasn't at the SuperSkills, his flames tenure is definitely overwhelming

He should stay and get fully healthy as we could use him down the stretch.

Gaudreau-Monahan-Ferland
Tkachuk-Backlund-Frolik
Bennett-Jankowski-Hathaway
Mangiapane-Staj/Laz-Jagr

Before he got hurt he was making plays and was strong at maintaining possession. If he can get back to that he will be a useful player to have around.

Still think the best call is to shelf him for several weeks and get that off ice conditioning then you can have a killer 4th line for playoffs and he can sub in for injuries in the top 9.

I find it curious that he is not with the team more even injured.

It is well known that he has a heavy influence on younger players, often leading to fans speculating on Jagr's worth as a coach. They are all younger by his standards now a days.

Is it possible that someone feels this influence is undercutting coaching staff or Giordano? That might cause the management to respectfully not wish the popular hockey legend's presence.

Let me stress I have absolutely no evidence or indicators beyond pure wandering speculation. By all accounts Jagr on the team has been nothing but positive.

Would be curious if he is even in Calgary any more.

Definitely believe the team and the player have had a mutual agreement to part ways....

This would only make sense to me if it is Jagrs decision to leave the team (maybe he feels he isn't making an impact, but I'd disagree). From a Flames perspective it makes more sense to have him recover and keep the depth.

His girlfriend posted a picture on instagram from an airplane with a bunch a emojis saying she's headed states side, somewhere with palm trees. So you might be right!
