Me too (I was 7 when they won the cup).

The fans are the losers wasting time and money on this crap. It's laughable they want the public to pay for a new arena.

Is GG really the problem? Not his fault we don’t score.
Then fire the GM, trade the core.

It is since his style is too passive, and doesn't generate enough offense. Honestly, getting 3 goals a game should be the minimum. Relying on winning 2-1 isn't a recipe for success.

Look how much better the team looks when they're aggressive and desperate for the tying goal at the end of this game, and previous games like against the Habs. When they really press, the team can get chances. The defense has, and with the roster the team has, should be more assertive in the play of offense.

This passive play isn't working, and is not going to work. The system is a failure. Either the coach has to change it, or the coach has to leave.

Why not? It could be
He decides who goes on the ice and when.
He decides what systems the players are obliged to follow.

So letting less goal is on coach, but scoring less is on players?

That was the case with B Sutter...he was allowed to stay the whole 3 boring years of his contract.

Except for Tkachuk I would be up for trading anyone at this point. Yup even Johnny.

The Flames have to play .625 hockey to get to 95 points and make the playoffs. That is a 103 point pace.

Tough thing is that the top 3 in the Pacific is gone. They are now battling the Ducks, Wild, Hawks, Avs, Oilers and Canucks for 2 playoff spots. Flames could finish as high as 7th in the conference and 4th in the Pacific or as low as 14th in the conference and 7th in the Pacific. 14th in the conference almost guarantees a top 5 or 6 pick in the draft.

D.Sutter used to say 1 goal was enough to win the game. We had confident hard working teams that won 1 goal games under Sutter. We are scoring enough goals but we are letting in more than we score, that is a problem the
coach needs to address.

Maybe i am just pissed off and it's late and the conspiracy/paranoia personality is coming out. Do you think with the recent, and public back and forth between the City and Ownership has something to do with this style of ignorant performance? Maybe get a "W" here and a "W" there will appease the fans long enough to get an arena deal. Or if they completely collapse and the Isles get a top 10 pick then season renewals will also start to collapse and then they can start building the case "to move". Maybe i am over the top, but i cannot comprehend a team with so much "talent" not even bother to show urgency or generate a shot before a power play in the third period.

Maybe if he had implemented a system that doesn’t completely neuter the excellent skating and stretch passes the D can make might help with scoring.

You know when they looked really good?

In the third period against the Oilers, when they were down 6-1, and GG basically let Johnny G and company run and gun and play pond hockey.

They payed desperate, they played with speed, and they just played on instinct...no system at all.

Until the end of the world we will see the special team improves. Hey, move the team to China, then at least I can fall to sleep without wasting my time watching this horse show.

It boggles my mind as to why Stone and his heavy shot is not on the PP.
