Poor Jagr. Too bad he couldn’t have Lazar and Freddie to at least give him a fighting chance for offence and the bonus is that the other two give you speed and energy and feistiness.

Man, why even dress jagr if u put him on a line with Stajan. Stajan is the suck.

Anyways, other than that 4th line, it was a good period. Glad to see the pp get a goal there.

Rittich quietly looking solid.

What is the downside of calling up Eat Bread and sitting Stajan besides hurt feelings?

4th line needs to be geared back this period. Brouwer has about 20 seconds less toi than Johnny does. Same with Stajan.

Good period though overall, momentum should be sustained if they limit the plug minutes.

Eatbread is a LW. You would be sitting Mr $4.5M to play Eatbread across from Jagr.

The only reason Stajan gets to play is 'nice guy' syndrome.

For a team fighting for a playoff spot, it's pretty stupid. Especially when you gave up a 2nd rounder for Lazar who is, at worst, about equivalent to a faster Stajan.

Makes no sense to me.

I almost turned it off where GG threw out the 4th line for a defensive zone faceoff and sj just put the Thornton line out.

Our coaches are not smart.

Man, that's a telling stat for Calgary: Have led after the 1st period in 7 of 37 games this season.

Do you guys think the rest of the team is sitting on the bench wondering what Hathaway is doing? "It's like he's running into the opposition players on purpose."

No. You send Freddie & Lazar to the AHL at this point, bench Stajan and Bring up Hrivik & Mangipane or Klimchuk,

Having those guys playing 4th line time in Calgary would hamper their development.

Calgary's 4th line would be OK if they were used properly.
