retro red and the red they currently use with the black C is the same colour

While I am disappointed, I hope they take the opportunity to -
- use the 3rd jersey shoulder patches
- clean up the jersey (piping, etc)
- take out the terrible flags

I can kind of imagine that they didn't want to go back to retros because they felt they could get more sales from introducing a new jersey versus just shifting the retros (which had already been in circulation) to the full-time home jersey.

hmmmm... if the flames did go to a semi-reverse kiss cut i hope they have an adhesive on the back of the jersey material part (in the pic provided that would be the black part of the c).

a number of years ago i got a batch of twill that was defective where the two layers (the top layer you see and the thicker 'hard' back layer) would separate after the twill was washed. i made a flames jersey with this twill and it looked great until i washed the jersey and the 2 layers of the black twill in the c separated (that's when i discovered the twill was defective). what resulted was a bunch of 'air bubbles' between the 2 layers and it just looked really bad and very 'knock-off-ish'

I agree with you 100%. Love the black C, love the shoulder patch from the 3rd. Just get rid of the flags and piping and it'll be perfect.

From what I can find, every team except Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, Colorado, Pittsburgh, and Nashville have tweeted out their teaser images so far. Of those, Colorado is the only one who might make a significant change to their look.


Of the ones that have tweeted already, the Oilers switching to orange full time (which was already known) and the Wild switching to a green primary with a white middle stripe appear to be the only significant changes from last season for any team. Of course, the base colour and main logo are the things that are least-likely change for any team, so it's not surprising that we haven't seen too many departures for now.


Also, it looks like Vegas will have a dark grey primary jersey, which was speculated about based on other images they've revealed, but not fully confirmed until now.

I reserve judgement until I see the entire jersey. I don't mind the black C if the rest of the jersey looks retro.

Looks like I will not be purchasing a new jersey. The Flames are truly idiots.
