Is there people out and about with car flags yet? Can't believe I am missing the playoffs this year in Calgary, but if there is a flames vs oilers matchup in whatever round i'm flying back and working from the pub there, no ####ing way I will miss that and or if they make it to round 4. I'll bring out the car flags in Vancouver soon enough.

What do the last 5-6 games have to do with a potential series with the Oilers?
It's such a no good thing to say. Just like how they in turn believe it would be a cake walk themselves based on 4 regular season games.
For a team that has been out of playoffs so long, I guess it shouldn't be surprising that they would put so much stock into small samples of regular season games.

I've seen a few here and there over the last fortnight. We're a pretty superstitious bunch even for hockey fans, when we clinch 100% I think you'll see them come out in force.
It's kind of funny how a little thing like a car flag can build the playoff mood around town, especially a hockey-mad town like Calgary. I imagine it amps the players up just as much as the fans on the commute to work and seeing a whole crapload of car flags. Think it was Burke who made a comment on how much he loved seeing the city's support for the team - he could drive all the way to work in CA and not see any Ducks gear but bam, playoff run and he sees like a dozen car flags when he's with us.

I started with HF - but a lot of the time HF activity is low (like tonight) so I also do Reddit and SBNation.

It's almost scary how much Edmonton is the Shelbyville of the BOA rivalry. Right down to the cousin marrying and turnip juice.

LOL, watching the Altitude broadcast calls of the Flames goals.
Colour commentator starts talking about how interesting Ferland is. Proceeds to say he's 28 years old and has been working for years in the minors.
24 vs 28 is a huge difference in the NHL.

Er not quite. He's having a good end to his season though.
1. Gaudreau (66-17-41-58, 0.88 P/GP)
2. Monahan (76-26-30-56, 0.74 P/GP)
3. Backlund (76-21-29-50, 0.66 P/GP)

I see what you're trying to show but, the goals don't really mean much when showed by line. It includes Brouwer's two pp goals when he was playing with different linemates, for example. Would make more sense to just show even strength goals or each player's stat line from the last 6.

I have my car flags mounted on my Supra and ready to go! It seems like not many are on the hype train yet, though.

I think many have already said this before and I will say it again. My car flags go up the moment we clinch a playoff spot and not a minute before.
