What's not to get? The Kings are a bottom 5 offensive team in the entire league.
The only goal they managed to score last night was from pushing the friggin' goalie into the net with the puck.
They are awful offensively but sound defensively.
Iginla is largely the reverse. He instantly makes their team better even in his diminished capacity as an offensive player. Iginla's 8 goals this year would put him tied for 5th on the kings for goals. Iginla's 8 goals would have him tied for 12th on the Flames.

Too slow for the Flames now anyway. No matter who he replaced on the roster, it would have been a downgrade.
The Kings are making a low-risk Hail Mary to make the playoffs. The Flames don't need to make that move.

His cup dreams ended the day he signed that contract with the Avalanche.

L.A. is one point back of St. Louis, actually. Could go down to the wire.

Wow, they retained as much of his salary as they were allowed and still all he was worth was a 4th.
Sad days.

He's a consimate professional who I'm sure would've known his role if traded here.

You seriously cant see how bringing back Iginla could, for example, put Giordano in a compromised situation?
Let me say this one more time... I am not saying that Iginla is a cancerous player, I am however saying that bring him in to the locker room at this point, could have a cancerous effect. Even if the chance is extremely remote, for a team that is gelling right now, I don't see upside in risking it.

Assume Treliving just had no interest as price seems low. As for Iggy not picking his spots well, we just don't know how much interest there was.
I will always have enormous respect for Iginla and Sutter and I wish them well. Just not at our expense.

My bad guys sorry haven't fully kept up to date with the standings I just took a quick look and I was wrong, please forgive me.
I apologize if I have deeply offended anyone.

wow possible Avs get nothing:
Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
If conditions aren't met in Iginla trade...playoff related or he doesn't resign, the 4th round pick disappears.

Iggy certainly didn't pick his spot this time...I personally don't think he has much left at all but nothing wrong with choosing LA over staying in Colorado

If this was the ONLY offer or the only place he would waive for the Avs would be dumb not to take it
noting Vs. the chance of something
