I think the key is the way they are winning...it is in fact "sustainable"

not saying they are gonna win every game but this style combined with solid goal tending is not going to fall off a cliff IMO

Come to think of it....a bunch of them haven't really been around lately have they? Waiting until our memories fade? Good luck with that lol.

I'm around. I'll own it.

LOL if the worst thing I have to do is admit being wrong about a sports team's season then I can live with that.

You and the ones that stuck around weren't the massively annoying ones IMO.

Thanks, but I am pretty damn annoying.

Whatever else happens, if the oilers are in the Flames rear view mirrors at the end of the season, I'll be happy.

i'm around too ... and sticking to my view that a 6 to 7 game winning streak is needed right now to be back 'in the mix'. That definitely looks attainable in the current run

The fact that the Flames have just about the best record in the NHL over the last month or so - and still are on the outside looking in for the western conference if you factor in games played - tells you how hard it is to overcome the start this team gave us. 3 more wins in a row will put as back on the pace.

I'm happy to be watching again, as I went on a self-imposed hiatus after the loss to the Rangers on November 12th. Said I wouldn't watch again till they fire the coach or are back above .500.
I said to myself;
"Screw this, I am not wasting my time with these lacklustre players"
After they picked up the play, and started winning again;
"Hey, I like the view from this wagon everyone else is riding on"

Ill eat crow, and be happy with it. So glad the players have some spark again. Whatever it was, please keep it up.

Can't blame fans for being passionate yet shortsighted, it happens in every league with every team. I was calling for Gulutzan's head pretty early, but it sure looks like they just needed time to work the system out, in addition to Johnson claiming the #1 spot. One thing we can all be thankful for is that Treliving can see the big picture and didn't make any knee jerk reactions when everyone was full of vitriol. Coaching hire is starting to look good and looking at the other thread, his decision not to qualify 4 RFA's looks real smart. He's still a wizard.

Amazing the success a team can have when their best players consistently outperform the opponents best players.

Agreed, and when they are willing to take some offensive risks, because they now know that every mistake or turnover isn't going to end up in the back of their net! Due to the Chad man!
